About me

Aloha, I am Brandon Boyd, Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), WA state license number MA60206550, Idaho Massage license MAS-4963.

I began my journey as a professional massage therapist in June 2003 by attending the Idaho School of Massage Therapy in Boise Idaho. I attended the 250 hour massage school during summer break with the Idea that massage would be a great side gig while pursuing an Engineering degree at The College of Southern Idaho. l operated Helping Hands Mobile Massage in the Burley/Twin Falls area of southern Idaho from Jan 2004 till May of 2005. In May of 2005 I moved to Kennewick in Washington State to follow my new wife whom had just got her dream job with the EPA overseeing the clean up of ground water at Hanford nuclear reserve.

In 2006 I attended Ancient Arts Massage School and Clinic in Richland WA for an additional 1000 hours of training. At that time, this was required to obtain a Washington State massage license. Upon completion I went back into to my first career as an aircraft mechanic. I spent the following six years as a Aircraft Service Specialist in Helicopter Operations and Longline Equipment. (It is the acronym that counts!)

In 2011 I became licensed as a massage therapist in Washington and have been practicing massage full time since then. I worked under the co-operative brand of Touch Wellness Center from 2011 till the end of 2013.  During the summer of 2013 I met Kim and Jim Heartley at an AMTA massage conference where I attended their 4 hour introduction to Lomi Lomi. I felt like Kim and Jim were showing me how to give the massage I had spent the last 10 years trying to figure out how to give! in January 1014 I hired on at Elements in Richland where I thrived for nine years, getting to work in every role Elements had to offer, Therapist, Lead Therapist, WMA and Studio Manager. During these nine years I attended hundreds of hours of continuing education in Lomi Lomi as well as getting the opportunity to teach. I have designed classes and taught them. I have substitute taught and been guest instructor at Victoria's Academy of Cosmetology and Massage School. I have also had the chance to learn Hypnotherapy and am actively working on ways to ethically incorporate hypnoses into my treatment sessions.

In April 2023 I separated from my Elements family. As of today, I have gone back into my first career of aviation maintenance as my day job. I am still offering my services and teaching classes on the weekend.

There is a saying in Hawai'i, "ʻAʻole mai ke kula hoʻokahi ka ʻike a pau" (Not all knowledge comes from one school).
